Hi Fabio,
there is a common installation guide for the IDS for BaaN.
Nevertheless there are a few problems.
One of the most critical problems I think is the number of
extents for the tables. There is a special file called "inf_storage"
in your $BSE environment where you should enter the correct size
for each table.
Normally a table should consist of two or three extents. After
a BaaN installation I found tables with 150 to 200 extents which
caused a lot of performance problems. Try to find out, how many
extents you have:
dbaccess sysmaster - <<!
select dbsname,tabname,count(*) number_of_extents, sum(size)
from sysextents group by 1,2 order by 3 desc;!
A second problem is the client/server communication. You should
have an entry "sqlmux" in your configuration file and in your
"sqlhosts" file.
Additionally I think it's a good idea to tell us more about
your disks ( number of disks ) and your configuration file
"$INFORMIXDIR/etc/$ONCONFIG".
