Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

We are trying our first experiment with Informix's client server
capability. I have two machines seemingly properly configured. I tried to
run the following sql script:
CONNECT TO databasename@servername;
select * from table;
We have 7.10 Online Engine running with SCO V OS and ISQL 6.01 UD4.
When I execute the script via dbaccess everything works GREAT!!!!
When I execute it with ISQL 6.01 I get Error -930 Cannot Connect to Database
Servername.
I would have no problem if neither dbaccess or isql worked. I don't
understand why only isql fails. I have gone through the manuals all day
and can't find anything that helps. Are there environment variables required,
other than having INFORMIXSERVER and INFORMIXDIR and termcap, for isql
not required for dbaccess.
This is really frustrating since what we need to ru is ace reports and forms.
Anyones help would be greatly appreciated.
