No, I'm talking about Informix, not Sybase. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
This is Manas again. I can not use C in this case as it might just complicate it. The datareturned is used in Powerbuilder datawindow (a table that can be fed data directly from stored procedure). The scenario is like this. I have a stored procedure (sp_a) that retrieves data for a single product no. But there is another report where the user can pick a number of products to get a comparison report. So I was thinking I can call this procedure sp_a as many times from another stored procedure for each product number as in the passed product no list string. This procedure would need to return all the columns that sp_a returns but for different product nos. There are not many good string functions as well in Informix so that it can search a delimiter in the string pattern and return the position. I guess I have to write one for myself. Thanks for all your help. Manas * Sent from RemarQ http://www.remarq.com The Internet's Discussion Network * The fastest and easiest way to search and participate in Usenet - Free!
