Create a shortcut, and enter: C:\\WINNT\\system32\\CMD.EXE /K C:\\usr\\FGL2C\\Env.bat & cd C:\\DirOfMyProg & FGLRUN.EXE C:\\DirOfMyProg\\MyProg.42r & exit in Target field. Then, doubleclick... You do not need rlogin when application server and display are on the same machine. If you have set enviromnet variables on global NT level, you can even try doubleclicking on .42r files, or just type "fglrun myprog.42r" from NT prompt. "Dynamic 4GL workshop menu" is a realy realy nice name for opening a NT command prompt winndow, and settins environment with C:\\usr\\FGL2C\\Env.bat Andrej Shaun Campbell <shaun@emltd.co.uk> wrote: >I have just installed Dynamic 4GL (2.1) running on an NT4 workstation >(SP3). I have just installed Dynamic 4GL (2.1) running on an NT4 workstation (SP3). I have managed to compile an existing 4GL program but am now trying to run the program and getting very confused. The problem is that the database, application server and windows display are all to be run on the same workstation. I have been trying to use WTK-Rlogin but have realised this is only for running programs on a UNIX box. Can anyone explain what the general principles are for running the complete application on the one NT workstation? I have been lead to believe that I need to install an rlogin deamon on NT, and also that I can run applications without it by selecting the Dynamic 4GL workshop menu. Does anyone know what the simplest approach is to running my application? Regards Shaun Campbell
