Informix SE v. IDS

Hi, Could someone please explain the difference between Informix SE and the Dynamic Server? Is there something the Dynamic Server can do that SE cannot? Is there a limit on the number of connections to SE? Or is the difference only in performance? On the Informix web site, the Dynamic Server is advertised as being "industrial strength" (or something like that), while SE is said to be good for smaller applications. Suppose I wanted to use a database on the back end of a web site. The queries would all be very very simple, the data would be practically read only, but there could potentially be a huge number of simultaneous connections. Would SE work for that, or does Dynamic Server offer something this situation would require? Also, in terms of mirroring the database, as well as backing it up, is one better than the other? Thanks for your help, Mikhail
