LBUPRESERVE 1 ?
When you set LTAPEDEV to /dev/null you don't need to backup logical logs .
When one of them is full , is marked as B and the server step to the next.
If you like to run onbar to backup to /dev/null ( IMHO this is a waste of
time ) make a link to /dev/null ( ex : logs ) and set LTAPEDEV to it (
LTAPEDEV logs )
