Write Informix 4GL report programs to output data to ASCII flat files. I presume ACE could be used as well, but I used 4GL. The flat files had no headers, no trailers, no pagination. The report program also took care of minor data conversions done at the time of the transfer. 2. Use Oracle SQL*Loader to load the flat files into Oracle. I chose to have the Informix report program write the SQL*Loader control info at the front of the flat file, using the INFILE * option. However, it is perhaps easier to have the report program only create the data and to hand carve the SQL*Loader control file. Hope this helps, Alan ___________________________ ______________________| R. Alan Popiel |__________________________ \\ Internet: | Martin Marietta, SLS | / \\ alan@den.mmc.com | P.O.
