David, Is there anyway for those of us who do not currently have a support contract in force to register our desire for this feature (i.e., UPPER (field) in SQL)? It would certainly be one consideration in our decisions about future DBMS purchases. (Are you listening, Informix marketing?) Also, I strongly recommend the name "UPPER" for compatibility with Oracle. (I don't know what name Sybase, Ingres, etc. use for this feature, or even if they have the feature.)
