Is there any way of recovering an individual to a point in time that is different from the other dbspaces. The system contains multiple databases each in their own dbspace, and I need to provide the facility to recover a single database independantly from the others while the system is still available. Can anybody please give me some ideas Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
I believe that you can do this with ONArchive -it's called warm tablespace restore. Don't know about ONBar. The way that we've always operated is that for this type of situation where one database has different uptime and/or backup/restore requirements, we put it in a seperate instance. Don't know if that's possible in your situation, but that would make things easier. Sounds like ... Oracle! (1 database == 1 instance).
