We have had a similar problem between a 7.13.uc2 engine running on Sun
SC2000E Solaris 2.4 and a 6.00.uf3 engine running on HP h70 HPUX 9.04.
The problem had to do with our DBSERVERNAME and DBSERVERALIASES being
all CAPS. We fixed this by creating another DBSERVERALIAS in all
lower case and making the appropriate enties in the sqlhosts and hosts
files.
However, we came to find out that we had bigger problem. One
database(hp box) is ansi-compliant and the other(sun box) is not.
Anyone have a solution as to how to access data from the
ansi-compliant database from the non-ansi one? This problem only
exists so far when trying to get the date through 4GL.
