INFORMIX AND MS ACCESS

Have you tried breaking it up into smaller chunks? Try breaking the query into smaller pieces and doing the inserts that way. I ran across something similar with Powerbuilder a couple of years ago, when I tried to create a dbase file with a large select. It ground to a halt after several hours when I tried to do the whole thing in one select, but when I broke it into 4 queries, it took less than an hour total. --- ~ SPEED 1.40 [NR] ~
