New User Group

SVIUG - Introduction I am pleased to announce the formation of a new Informix User Group - The Sacramento Valley Informix User Group (SVIUG). The SVIUG is a loosely knit group of Informix developers, database adminstrators, end-users, partners, and consultants who are interested in sharing and improving their knowledge of Informix technologies. The group will not be incorporated and at this point, is not planning to charge membership fees. We intend to maintain a regular schedule of activities and events including guest speakers, technology demonstrations and panel discussions. The SVIUG is officially recognized by Informix Software and the International Informix User Group (IIUG) as a local Informix user group. This affords its' membership special privilege in joining the IIUG and registering for the Informix Worldwide User Conference at a discounted rate. The SVIUG meets every other month on the second Thursday at 5:30 p.m. We are currently meeting in the Tsakopoulos Library Galleria located at 828 I Street, Sacramento California (parking on the street or at the Capital Mall). We will be hosting a variety of speakers including Informix executives and engineers, Informix users, and industry analysts. There is no charge to attend. The first regular meeting will be on April 10th at 5:30 p.m. Our user group membership list is confidential and is strictly for communicating SVIUG and related news. It will not be used for commercial or recruiting purposes, and is not shared with any organization other than the IIUG.
