Hello everybody: I have a question: I need to run 4gl programs from Java, its is possible? The context is: Java in Sun Solaris 4000, Informix in IBM Server with AIX, my Java aplication is connected to the DB with JDBC thin and the 4gl programs are on the IBM DB Server Now, If its possible, how I get the results of the execute ? Question for you: can you run 'ls' from your Java programs? If the answer is no, then you can't run I4GL either. If the answer is yes, then the only thing you have to worry about is ensuring that the Informix environment is set correctly for the 4GL applications. Again, can you get the status from 'ls'? Or the output on stdout if that's what you're referring to as 'results'? If you can, then you you can use the same techniques to capture the output data from your I4GL programs. I don't know the answer to either of my counter-questions. I suspect the answer is Yes to both, but... -- Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@informix.com, jleffler@earthlink.net) Guardian of DBD::Informix v0.60 -- see http://www.perl.com/CPAN #include <disclaimer.h>
