Is it being merged/renamed? It's been moved to the "Foundation Courses" section, and renamed to Managing and Optimizing Informix Dynamic Server Databases (Previously Managing and Optimizing INFORMIX-OnLine Dynamic Server Databases). Check the following URL: http://www.informix.com/informix/services/educat/descrpt/applicat/crs431.htm > 3: If courses 1 and 2 are prerequisites to course 3, why aren't > they scheduled to run in successive weeks, so non-US citizens > or out-of-state US citizens can save on travel/accomodation > costs, not to mention valuable time, when they take these courses? They probably want you to take the knowledge from course 1 and 2 back to your site, implement what those two courses show, then come back for course 3 at a later time. Taking all three back-to-back would be a bit overwhelming for someone just starting out with Informix, and courses 1 and 2 can't cover all of the situations you'll see in real life. This way, you get time to experiment with the tools and commands some before you dive into the Tuning course. Granted, that does create some difficulty in your case due to the longer travel time. > I'd appreciate your views.
