From : Tad Possenti Subject: informix unloads I've been asked this question a couple of times, and have always answered "no". Question: Does any Informix utility or command ( ie. dbunload, unload, etc) have the capability to produce fixed-length output files ? If anyone knows of something that will allow this, please let me know. Thanks, Tad

I just don't have it handy at the moment to post it here. It goes something like this: unloadFixed C_likeFormattingString pipedFile outFile In article <8gc4ka$2k$1@news.xmission.com>, Kernoal.Stephens@AUTOZONE.COM wrote: > > > HPL will unload fixed. > > |--------+--------------------------> > | | Kate_Tomchik@Hom| > | | eDepot.COM | > | | | > | | 05/22/00 01:09 | > | | PM | > | | | > |--------+--------------------------> > >------------------------------------------------------------| > | | > | To: informix-list@iiug.org | > | cc: (bcc: Kernoal Stephens/STS/AUTOZONE) | > | Subject: informix unloads | > >------------------------------------------------------------| > > How do the rest of you handle this? > > From : Tad Possenti > Subject: informix unloads > > I've been asked this question a couple of times, and have always > answered "no". > > Question: > Does any Informix utility or command ( ie. dbunload, unload, etc) > have the capability to produce fixed-length output files ? > > If anyone knows of something that will allow this, please let me know. > > Thanks, > Tad > > Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
