Albert, You must read the $INFORMIXDIR/release/ONLINE_5.X notes to see if the hardware you are on supports forced residency. If it does, then all one must do is to set the $INFORMIXDIR/etc/tbconfig parameter of RESIDENT to 1. Then bring ONLINE to offline and back to online. If you set it to 1 on a machine that doesn't support forced residency then it the 1 flag will be ignored and swapping may take place.
