Wingz/Datalink Date Download problem

I recently tried to download a bunch of data from my Informix Online database into Wingz 1.1. In the data was a date field which contained dates from the 21st century (i.e. 1/1/2012). The only problem was it converted all my 21st century dates to 20th Century dates (1/1/2012 became 1/1/1912). When I called Wingz support they said they could recreate the problem, but the next version fixes the problem. Well, I'm not quite ready to move to Solaris 2.3 and Wingz 2.0. Has anyone fought this problem already???? I have tried setting the DBDATE environment variable and it had no effect. Thanks in advance for any help.
