connect linux-NT JDBC problem

Hi folks, I try to connect a java client program from NT4 (SP4) to Informix-SE (7.24.UC5) on Linux (SuSE 6.1) I downloaded the JDBC-20 driver from Informix my connect string is: jdbc:informix-sqli://b3pc230:1536//database/demo/s tores7:INFORMIXSERVER=demo_se;user=test;password=t est in sqlhosts on the linux pc: demo_se sesoctcp b3pc230 sqlexecinf there are entries in 'services' and 'hosts' on both machines, ping works, sqlexecd is running I get the following error: -------- java.sql.SQLException: Attempt to connect to database server (com.informix.asf.IfxASFException: [demo_se]Java socket exception encountered:java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: no further information) failed. at java.lang.reflect.Constructor.newInstance(Native Method) at com.informix.jdbc.IfxDriver.connect(Compiled Code) at java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(Compiled Code) at java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(DriverManager .java:159) at Play.main(Play.java:63) Attempt to connect to database server (com.informix.asf.IfxASFException: [demo_se] Java socket exception encountered:java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: no further information) failed. -------- and there is no logging information from sqlexecd :-( what's wrong?
