We have also been able to execute some things faster on SE in some cases. It depends on your machine, amount of memory, proper setup and tuning and so on. You might want to start with telling us the machine type, amount of memory, operating system, how you have set up your diskspace (raw or cooked, if raw what device have you used), amount of buffer memory and other key configuration parameters, the database (tables involved, amount of data in them, indexing), which update statistics command you have run, the sql you execute and whatever else you think might be relevant. With some information someone will help you. Nils.Myklebust@idg.no NM Data AS, P.O.Box 9090 Gronland, N-0133 Oslo, Norway My opinions are those of my company The Informix FAQ is at http://www.iiug.org
