HELP: How to limit the console message in archive cron script?
Posted in 1995
Hi, I was usingthe cron to automatically perform a level 0 archive every morning. Recently, the size of hte database has grown to a point such that two tapes is required inthe archive. Thus, each morning I have to clear up my system log files to clear away the "tape full, please change tape" message. Is there any way to get around it?? I was playing with things like echo '\\n0' | tbtape -s | head -50 but it does not seems to work for me. The archiving stopped after the first tape. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Calvin Ng email: <calvinng@brel.com.sg> ------------------------------------------------------------------------- [DISCLAIMER] Read at your own risks.
