Am I choking the operating system? Do I need to reconfigure a kernel parameter to allow Informix to have more memory? HP is crap at handling SHM Dude. It is probably trying to add a 3rd segment, which needs one of the others swapped out. Because you have forced residency on, it can't swap it out and gets a brain hemorrhage. Just stick to RESIDENT=1 and you should be okay. AB ---------------------------------------------------------------- Get your free email from AltaVista at http://altavista.iname.com
