This concerns IDS Version 11.70.TC6IE on Windows Server 2008 R2. I have one server that logs this each time it boots ... 06:34:23 Warning: Unable to open the surrogates file /etc/informix/allowed.surrogates. 06:34:23 DR: DRAUTO is 0 (Off) 06:34:23 Warning: Loading entries from the surrogates file /etc/informix/allowed.surrogates into surrogate cache failed. Surrogate cache does not exist. The documentation speaks only about Unix with regard to the surrogate file. Should I be concerned, and if so, what could I do to fix this?
It's a bug; it should be reported as such. It's more an annoyance than anything serious, but you should not be being pestered about it. How is your USERMAPPING parameter? As Jonathan says, It's probably a bug, but I only see this on Unix when USERMAPPING is not "OFF". Regards. You are right Fernando. I had set it to ADMIN as a test one day and forgot to change it back. It is back to OFF now, so all should be good when I bounce the instance tonight.
