Video Foundation Blade - problems with VSI_FILE

Hello,
I've got problems with the COPY command which copies objects from an
external source
(e.g. another directory) into the storage component - in this case the
file system.
One expects that as a result of COPY there is a new file that has the
same content as the source
file. The file is there, only that it's size is USUALLY 7 byte - the
first 7 byte of the source file.
Sometimes the resulting file contains only a part of the source file and
on very rare occasions
COPY works fine and the whole file is copied.
I registered the storage component to be directory /tmp/:
(see also Video Foundation Datablade documentation pp 3-10)
insert into medvsiregister values
(medstorage('VSI_FILE', 2, NULL, NULL, NULL,'/tmp/', NULL, NULL));
insert into medvsi_file values ('/tmp/',0);
create table media (name lvarchar, val MedLoc);
insert into media values ('test',
copy('VSI_CLIENT:/tmp/test',
storage('VSI_FILE#2:')))
Copy returns a value of type MedLoc. Afterwards table media contains the
correct information.
/tmp/test can be binary or text, reside on a different directory or
machine - neither works.
There are no errror messages.
What is going wrong?
Thanks in advance for your help,
