We have a client using Sage on Susie Linux version 8 enterprise & Informix IDS version 9.3 and theyhave been 'battling' to get the correct version of 4GL & Compiler. Does anyone now hte correct version of 4GL that will run on Linux & IDS 9.4 as we urgently need to develop a mission critical report for them. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.
This list the 4gl Linux compatability matrix Suse 8 and the appropriate glibc http://www.ibm.com/software/data/informix/linux/4gl.html You can use this to see which version you need How to then get the software ..... http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=681&uid=swg24009130 IBM Informix® Dynamic Server Fix Packs are full product files that can be downloaded with approved entitlement at the Passport Advantage (PPA) website. Informix Fix Packs were previously known as Interims. If you need to find out about PPA registration, visit: http://www-306.ibm.com/software/howtobuy/passportadvantage If you do not have a PPA contract, or do not find the version you need, contact your local technical support office: http://www-306.ibm.com/software/data/informix/support/contact.html Prerequisites Only customers with current PPA contracts can use the site. Alternatively a distributor could supply product for you
We seem to have the same setup. Sage Line 500 running on IDS 9.4 with suze 8 enterprise. We use 4gl 7.32.UC1. I have written heaps of 4gl programs to supplement our Sage Line 500 installation (The stocktaking program was horrible So I re-wrote it with a more user friendly interface :-) ). Good luck.
