Help tunning BTSCANNER

Hello, my friends. We´re running IDS 11.50.FC4 on a linux_64 machine, and our alice configuration is like this: BTSCANNER num=4,threshold=350,rangesize=-1,alice=11,compression=high It´s an OLTP instance, and I´ve noticed that the reports show high Time spent cleaning (sec) values (around 10.000 for each of the 4 threads). How can I reduce that time, simply increasing the thread numbers?? Some ideas would be great to improve our I/O levels, ok? Thanks a lot, regards! -- Alexandre Marini Tecnologia da Informação - DBA msn: alexandre_marini@hotmail.com SEFAZ-MS / SGI-UIMP / Sistemas IBM-Informix IIUG Member <http://www.iiug.org>
Hi,
you can tune the btree scanner using the onmode -C command. See the
manual for details.
