Thank you Mr. Berns for your concise and informative comments. You are correct that rowsize has a lot to do with throughput, and future "benchmarks" of this type will be based on bytes/second. The consumer table is fragmented across several dbspaces, but I have not turned on PDQ, so have not seen the benefit. We have non- database applications running on the server, so I am trying to configure a best balance of resources.
