Either post the facts or don't bother. I am a Sun and Linux shop. I
have no problems with Linux doing sendmail, DNS, Apache and some other
services. But when it comes to an Informix DB and multiple CPU (SMP)

Just the fact that IBM has yet to fix the SDK for Linux to allow
programs like PHP to compile makes me wonder how serious they are
about Informix and Linux. The problem has existed for over a year and
no fix.
