I cannot remember if this ever made it into the conversations but: An automated or at least delivered update statistics "package/process" would be nice. Every Informix DBA has to spend some time either writing their own implementation and interpretation of the upstats methods or installing and using Art's process. It seems to me that Informix is a little behind in the area of automated statistics. onupstat seems like a nice name. Hell take Art's code and roll it into the engine. I've added this. I'm not sure thats dostats takes advantage of the new IDS 9 feature where you can do update stats high for multiple columns in one pass of the table? i.e. the stuff here http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/db2/zones/informix/library/techarticle/miller/0203miller.html Art??
