Data Processing in UNIX McGraw Hill (6-9 years old) -- covers all aspects of UNIX (to understand files systems, disk layouts, etc. to later support explanation of Informix partitions, etc.). -- UNIX commands for text and list/table processing -- SQL and relational databases -- ISQL and SQL (Forms/Reports) command line database processing -- ESQL/C programming examples (everything but blobs). NOTICE: This is a great foundation book - however it was based on examples using ESQL/C and INFORMIX / TURBO. Great textbook material and appendices for advanced consideration, etc. Supplement with new Informix documents and it might help....
