LRUS and CLEANERS ids 9.40

Hi all, I read a section from IBM performance and tuning curse there's a rule of thumb for LRUS. It says that I have to calculate LRUS aproximately 2000 for each pair, so if I have 1000000 BUFFERS. Do I have to set LRUS to 500? or Do I have to consider other things? and what about CLEANERS? This course doesn't metion detail at all. Regards
