Re: Clustered index problems

Performing this operation reuqires enough disk space for 2 versions of the table. Do you have this much space available? If the table is growing that would explain why it worked for a while and then started to fail. Also remember that the space needs to be available in the same dbspace(s) that the table is resident to. -Bill } } I have a large table where data is inserted all day and at night I have a } cron that executes "ALTER INDEX xxx TO CLUSTER;" . This process runs very } well until the sixth time it is run. On the sixth night I receive the } following error " 502: Cannot cluster index". I will receive this error } every night until I bring Informix down and up, then it will run fine for } six more days. Any ideas as to what is going on??? } } Thanks } } Rich } -- Bill Ennis Voice: 312-474-7516 SSA Fax: 312-474-7460 500 W. Madison email: ennis@ssax.com ennis@accesschicago.net
