Senior Systems Analyst Position available at Visa

We are looking for strong Analysis, data mining experience, position could grow into management responsibilities. We also need very strong, QMF, SQL, DB2 experience. The candidate will be responsible for providing information services and system analysis to a variety of staff and management throughout Visa. The focus of this position is the generation of queries and reports from the Visa Information System (VIS) Sales Analysis (SA) and various other mainframe and Client Server databases. This position performs preliminary analysis and sizing of each request, writes and tests the query to determine quality of output and tolerance check results, runs the query and generates output (report/file) as requested. These results are often used to determine product viability, to provide management with statistics on various performance factors and other high level corporate concerns. * advanced QMF and SQL skills in both the mainframe and Client/Server PC environment (minimum 3 years) * data modeling and extensive hands-on database analysis experience * effective communications skills * excellent inter-personal skills * an extraordinary commitment to detail and quality * Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science, Information Systems Business Administration or a related discipline * Preferred: * 3 - 5 years' experience with Visual Basic, Access and SQL Server database programming tools * familiarity with banking or bankcard industry is beneficial * some project management background is desirable Chris Rehm Visa International (650)432-4094 fax (650) 432-3273
