It is available though in ver. 4.0, but you are limited to Windows NT servers. It will be possible in Delphi as well soon, if it isn't allready in the new version now coming out. This is also limited to Windows NT servers. Access - this isn't a tool for C/S development in large installations, and probably never will be. Powerbuilder ver.5 has application partitioning. As far as I know limited to Windows NT and Sun Solaris servers currently, but will probably be available on other platforms. And there are other tools... > We're doing some AP work with > NewEra, and even that's not fun. I would appreciate very much more comments on how this is working out. > The other guys who claim easy, > no-coding AP are all charging telephonic amounts of money for the > functionality. Unfortunatly this has been true until very reasantly. That's one of the reasons why NewEra is so interesting. > I'm pretty much with Neal on this one... May be the issue is talken upside down here. C/S is not something good in itself, but a solution to a problem. There is a heavy demand for GUI programs from customers. How do you do this without a client/server solution?
