Dynamic-4GL-- running on NT connecting to database on SCO
Posted in 1998
I've copied my run-times of my application from my SCO box to an NT-server. I don't have Dynamic Server on my NT box (yet..), so I'm trying to run the application on my NT box but access an SE database on the SCO box. I'm using CLI-Connect to connect to the SCO database. When I log into the NT server as the adminstrator and the run ILogin, I connect fine to the database (changing "stores7" to my database name), so I know I get connected fine. Now, I login as a user to the NT server (I'm doing all this on the console by the way) and choose the Dynamic Workshop. I have compiled and run the test program in the manual (1-32) just fine: MAIN Database fms DISPLAY "Status: ",status END MAIN This returns status of 0. Then I run my application and I get an SQL statement error number -461 File open error The error occurs whenever some data is fetched from the database. If anyone has done this, I'd appreciate any insight. Just as an aside, when I log in to the NT server as a regular user on the console and then run ILogin, I get a -406 error. Thanks for anyone's help. Candy -- Candy McCall ONLINE Computing, Inc. (candym@olcinc.com)
