If you are using Informix Dynamic Server (not Workgroup Server)
there is a utility called onmonitor.
Archives: for Dynamic Server - onarchive, onbar
for Workgroup Server - just onbar.

Just set in onconfig NETTYPE to ipcshm, and describe the server
in sqlhosts file with connection type ontlitcp (onsoctcp).
This should be enough.
