export
DBDELIMITER=","
dbexport database
cd database.exp
for x in `ls *.unl`
do
fname=`echo $x | cut -d"." -f1`
mv $x $fname.csv
done
get the files to your excel environment.
Open them.
Oh - sorry - did you want column headers so Excel will know the column (err
field) names? Then you'd have to use dbaccess and the 'output' option
(unless I'm forgetting and that was only there for isql).
Did you want to import them from excel?
Alternatively you could use the connect product to open the tables directly
from Excel. I haven't done that yet - so don't ask me.
cheers
j.
