ontape -r error

I am trying to restore my backup done with ontape -s and I am getting this error. What could be the problem. I can bring informix online but can not restore on it. Continue restore? (y/n)y Do you want to back up the logs? (y/n)n Physical restore failed - could not fork server connection Program over.
