Upgrading to SunOS 5.10 and IDS 11.5 (64 bits) - E
Hello, We are in the process of upgrading from a Sun Enterprise machine running SunOS 5.6 with IDS Version 9.30.UC1 to a better machine running SunOS 5.10 with IDS 11.5 (64 bit). Can anyone let me know me whether or not the ESQLC binaries on the old box will run in the new box? Thanks! Solaris 6 (SunOS 5.6) binaries are a bit dated. Sun can answer better whether they would be compatible with the Solaris 10 shared libraries. If they were compiled 'static' you've got a better chance. However, short term you could continue to run the binaries on the older machine and just point them at the IDS 11.50 engine on the new machine as a stop gap until you have recompiled everything on Solaris 10 with the CSDK v 3.50 that comes with IDS 11.50 and have completed regression testing.
