Hi netters: The tbcheck's output gives several fields and our manuals don't explain much about them. The information is a bit confusing. We have blob data in a table and I run tbcheck like this: tbcheck -ptT database:table_name and all I want to know is how much space is left in the dbspace containing the table. A sample output is this: TBLSpace Report for lillyprod:l.dn_em_doc_data Physical Address 400006 Creation date 02/10/94 22:54:48 TBLSpace Flags c02 Row Locking TBLSpace contains TBLSpace blobs TBLSpace use 4 bit bit-maps Maximum row size 64 Number of special columns 1 Number of keys 1 Number of extents 8 Current serial value 1 First extent size 350000 Next extent size 20000 Number of pages allocated 505614 Number of pages used 505614 Number of data pages 458268 Number of data bytes 1760117752 Number of rows 187317 Extents Logical Page Physical Page Size 0 40c3ff 350000 350000 402971 20000 370000 461b2f 100000 470000 407791 19198 489198 47a1cf 15920 505118 40c2df 280 505398 402869 112 505510 402909 104 TBLSpace Usage Report for lillyprod:l.dn_em_doc_data Type Pages Empty Semi-Full Full Very-Full ---------------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- Free 32935 Bit-Map 63 Index 1207 Data (Home) 3210 Tblspace BLOBs 468199 0 94 82978 385127 ---------- Total Pages 505614 Unused Space Summary Unused data slots 0 Unused bytes per data page 56 Total unused bytes in data pages 179760 Unused bytes in Tblspace Blob pages 154233852 Index Usage Report for index 2502_842 on lillyprod:l.dn_em_doc_data Average Average Level Total No. Keys Free Bytes ----- -------- -------- ---------- 1 1 10 3916 2 10 119 2155 3 1196 156 1562 ----- -------- -------- ---------- Total 1207 156 1568 I refer to the 'Free' field (having value 32935 above) for getting as estimate of how many pages are left in the dbspace for the table (and don't look anything else). Is it right else how should I calculate it ?. Any pointers ? Thanx much Atiq
