How is one supposed to get a Windows client to connect to a UnixWare7 host when the sqlexecd daemon on the UnixWare7 side does not support sesoctcp as a protocol? I've been able to get sqlexecd to run if I use setlitcp for a protocol, but this option is not available on the windows client...at least it is not listed as a protocol in the setnet utility. UnixWare7 is running SE 7.23 and Client SDK 2.30 Windows PC is running Client SDK 2.50 Has anyone got this to work? Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
You can use sesoctcp (TLI and sockets are compatible at transport level). Hope this helps, Sergey <sjnorris4001@my-deja.com> wrote in message news:8spqrp$atq$1@nnrp1.deja.com... > How is one supposed to get a Windows client to connect to a UnixWare7 > host when the sqlexecd daemon on the UnixWare7 side does not support > sesoctcp as a protocol? > > I've been able to get sqlexecd to run if I use setlitcp for a protocol, > but this option is not available on the windows client...at least it is > not listed as a protocol in the setnet utility. > > UnixWare7 is running SE 7.23 and Client SDK 2.30 > Windows PC is running Client SDK 2.50 > > Has anyone got this to work? > > > Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ > Before you buy.
