Server Secondary
Posted in 2007
The poster asked whether temporary tables can be created on the secondary server in an Informix HDR (High-Availability Data Replication) pair. Answer: yes, but only non-logged ones — the tables must be created explicitly WITH NO LOG (e.g. CREATE TEMP TABLE ... WITH NO LOG, or SELECT ... INTO TEMP ... WITH NO LOG), and temporary dbspaces must be configured. Since the secondary is read-only, any operation requiring logging is prohibited. The poster confirmed this answered his question.

Hola Pablo
Si podes crear tablas temporales lo único que debes agregar es en la sentencia
"with no log"
Create temp table aaa
(campo 1 char(10)) with no log;
o
Select * from table1
into temp table auxiliar with no log;

Hi, The answer is yes, but only if the temp tables are created WITH NO LOG; That means you have to have explicitly created temp dbspaces, and you have to explicitly create the temp tables to not be logged. You can only do things on the secondary that do not require any logging. Any logged action is prohibited.
