RE: Is there any way to disable password aging? IDS 7.3
Posted in 1998
We are having the opposite problem with IDS 7.3 on AIX. Users can connect through ODBC and access database tables even when: 1. Their AIX account is locked; or 2. Their AIX password has expired and must be changed at their next AIX login. (I.E. Informix allows them to continue using the "old" password indefinitely). Is anyone aware of a method of preventing access in case #1 and forcing them to change their UNIX password in case #2. Your assistance would be appreciated. David: I believe that you are running into bug 100622 which is specific to Solaris 2.6. There does exists a workaround which is to age the password by date and not the number of days.
