Problem w/decimals on RISCos

We have encountered a problem with Informix 5.00.UD1 standard engine
which occurs only on the MIPS RISCos 5.1 platform. This is part of our
regression test which doed not give problems on any of our other platforms.
The problem is a core dump within the Informix runtime library libgen.a when
fetching data containing a decimal column. It can be easily reproduced within
dbaccess with the lines
create table test (
pk decimal(2,0) not null,
field decimal(32,0),
primary key (pk) constraint test1
);
insert into test ( pk, field ) values ( 1, 454545454545 ); select avg(field) from test;
The select produces the following coredump:

It might be a MIPS problem for all I know. We had a similar weird error
in a system routine called from our own code, until we switched off optimizing during
compilation of our code.
I'll be intereseted to see if anyone else has seen this, or knows a fix.
As I'm new to this forum: is there an Informix channel for this kind pf
stuff on the web or usenet ?
Thanks for any responses !
