Gary, In "moderated" newsgroups each message/article goes first to the moderator and is approved before it is posted. This is an unmoderated newsgroup... "policing" it is up to the participants. No one can "remove" from everywhere it once it has been distributed -- if you feel strongly about it, as you apparently do, you can: do whatever is required with your newsreader to display it in its original USENET form with all headers make a copy send a POLITE complaint, including the copy to the "Complain To" address in the headers (in this particular message, that was "abuse@earthlink.net") but realize the headers might have been forged -- they often are on real spam, particularly porn spam send an equally POLITE complaint to your News source, including the copy with all headers The more complaints, the more likely something will be done, but the most that is likely to happen is that the offenders ISP account might be cancelled, and the message removed from _some_ archives of newsgroup information (you see, newsgroup stuff is distributed to thousands of news feeds all over the world). I have complained about this one to abuse@earthlink.net and have requested help@deja.com to please remove it from the Deja archives (but, remember, it is also archived in many other places). -- L. M. (Larry) Linson Access example databases at http://homestead.deja.com/user.accdevel New: Book reviews, previously published in North Texas PC News Script execution must be enabled and Windows set to Small Fonts Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
I think someone should ensure that such stupidity doesn't happen in this site/forum at least. Already the Net is full of such crap.
