2 shared memory segments

When I start up informix I get the following message in the online log.
Could not create single shared memory segment with resident and
non-resident par
titions. Proceeding to create 2 shared memory segments instead.
The following are some my onconfig parameters
LOCKS 1000000
BUFFERS 150000
SHMVIRTSIZE 900000
I am running 11.0 HP-UX, Informix 7.24.uc4x1. The server has over 3gb of
memory. Any ideas on how I can get rid of these messages? If I can't get
rid of the messages, are they bad?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

In general there is nothing wrong except Informix performance.
Usually Informix creates resident and virtual segments in one shared
memory segment. In your case there is HP-UX limit when a maximum size
for a single shared memory segment on a 32 bit operating system is 1 GB.
Your configuration takes more than 1GB and Informix
divides resident and virtual segments by different shared memory
segments. You can use SINGLESEG_OFF=1 if you don't want to see the
message.
For 64-bit system the message means that Informix can't take
non interruptible shared memory segment that is needed for R and V
segments.
