How do I retrieve data from a 2nd database in 4gl

I need to retrieve data from a second database while the first database is still open. The structure of my program is as follows: define cursor to select variables from table1 (in database 1) foreach cursor <HERE is where I need to pull values from a second database output to report end foreach I'm using Informix 4gl ver 6.05.UD5 on an HP 9000/879 running HP-UX.
