ACE Reports: running into record locks

One of my associates has chosen ACE as his reporting tool and has written several reports. Many times they execute no problem, other times they bomb when encountering a record lock. I believe that Informix opens the db in NO WAIT mode. In esqlc, I include the statement "EXEC SQL SET LOCK MODE TO WAIT 30", but I don't see any options for the ACE reports. Any suggestions? Thank you. There is no way to include the "set lock mode to wait" statement into an ace report. If your associate has the i4gl licence, he could convert the ace report into an 4gl program, where you can handle that statement. There is a hidden environment variable SACEISOL that can be set to "dirty read" to allow isolation to be set to dirty read. There is a similar one for perform called SPERISOL.
