After executing the suggestions that they sent to me, the problem continued reason why I did the following thing: 1. Informix eliminates the user (What I eliminate the INFORMIXDIR for Informix ): # userdel - r informix 2. Informix creates the user again # useradd -u 200 -g informix -d /usr/informix -m informix 3. copy products to the INFORMIXDIR # cp C46BINA.tar /usr/informix 4. unpack the first product: # tar xvf C46BINA.tar 5. Setting environment variables: # INFORMIXDIR=/usr/informix # export INFORMIXDIR # PATH=$PATH:/$INFORMIXDIR/bin # export PATH 6. Installing install4gl: # ./install4gl Installation of IBM INFORMIX-4GL complete. 7. I am made equal for the product C46DANA.tar (install4gp) ..... Installation of IBM INFORMIX-4GL Rapid Development System complete. 8. The problems is: # rpm -iv --prefix $INFORMIXDIR IDS* Preparing packages for installation... package IDS-7.31.UD8-1 is already installed It says to me that already I have installed the IDS Finally it does not let to me install Informix 7.31 Some suggestion ????
