Hi guys, I'm using IDS 9.20 UC1 on SUSE linux, all works fine but I receive an error when, from a web page, I try to display a lot of results. It works perfectly on SELECT lower($col) LIKE lower ("%$my_keyword%") with "windows" as a my_keyword but not, for example, with "a". <!----------- begin error message -------------------> Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, root@asterix.area.telital.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- Apache/1.3.6 Server at asterix.area.telital.com Port 80 <!------------- end of error message ----------------------> Any suggestion? TIA Auri
So what does the Apache server error log say? Let's keep the discussion in the news group so others can benefit (I've pasted your email below). Your clue should be in the error message "Results exceeded maxsize". If you search the web datablade documentation you'll find an environment variable which controls "maxsize". You need to set that variable for your environment. >>Oh, yes, but the error isn't a web server error... >> >>on /tmp/library.log >> >>QR[00000246]SELECT webexplode(object,?::html) FROM wbPages WHERE >>ID='cdlibrary' AND path='/' AND extensio >>n='html' ; >>SV[00000246]content-type=text/html, ro, nopass, MIval >>TS[00000246]pid#246,rqst#136 Thu Jul 27 09:04:09 2000 >>ER[00000246]Results exceeded maxsize (131072) >> >>TIA, >> >>Auri In article <8lmagi$pr7$1@fe2.cs.interbusiness.it>, "Auri Mason" <auri.mason@telital.com#nospam#> wrote: > Hi guys, > > I'm using IDS 9.20 UC1 on SUSE linux, all works fine but I receive an error > when, from a web page, I try to display a lot of results. > It works perfectly on SELECT lower($col) LIKE lower ("%$my_keyword%") > with "windows" as a my_keyword but not, for example, with "a". > > <!----------- begin error message -------------------> > Internal Server Error > The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable > to complete your request. > Please contact the server administrator, root@asterix.area.telital.com and > inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done > that may have caused the error. > > More information about this error may be available in the server error log. > > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------ > ---- > > Apache/1.3.6 Server at asterix.area.telital.com Port 80 > > <!------------- end of error message ----------------------> > > Any suggestion? > > TIA > > Auri > > Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
OK, I gather you are using web datablade then. If you are using pre 4.0 web datablade then there is a web.cnf file entry called MI_WEBMAXHTML (which may not already exist in the file). It's default value is way too low in my experience, set it to something big (I am using ~900K). For post 4.0 web datablade, use the Web DataBlade Module Administration Tool to set MI_WEBMAXHTML to some larger value.
