We have 10 GB data, including compressed images. No matter what kind of compression algorithms anyone can offer, there is no way to compress 10G compressed images down to 2GB. However, Informix developers should have done a better job to continue backing up the data/images/BLOBs by using a different file name. It is much easier to resolve this issue from Informix side.
